SQUEE! I finally got a copy of Da Ren Wu in my hands.

What's not to love? Angst! Evil assassins! Damaged hero and fun heroine! Happy ending! Political intrigue! Finding true love in an arranged marriage! Nic Tse! Did I mention angst?

I love the whole premise, of the spoiled and spunky heroine who has read too many wuxia stories and dreams of meeting up her wuxia idol but is instead betrothed/wed to a studious guy she despised since childhood. Only...surprise! Her husband might be better than the shadowy hero of her wuxia readings...

SQUEE.

Also, the first ten minutes are LOLtastic. I love the spoiled but awesome heroine.

I watched it some months ago, it was really amusing to see the heroine being such a fangirl and Nic Tse in those white robes *dies*, yet I found it a bit too long (blaming my short attention span), and it was Chu-chu and the drunk guy the ones that kept me interested to the end *ship ship ship! #1 ship*

Seeing a heroine who is a fangirl amuses me so much and Nic is so droolworthy. I was totally cracking up when her father goes into her room which is decorated by pics of her idol in every corner and doesn't realize why she is annoyed when he proposes a different match.

Ha! completely agree, poor dad just didn't get it, he was just all about "but dear, I just can't understand why you would not aprove of Nic Tse, he's such a capable man and completely droolworthy!"

You would think it's Nic/SiSi but wait for it! ChuChu and the drunkard are love, you'll see them in the second half, when the drama started to drag they were the ones who kept me wanting to watch.
